Indian American Medical Association of Illinois (IAMA-IL) Annual Research Symposium:

IAMA is a scientific/clinical conference and abstract competition for Chicago area medical students and residents. CV and abstract in any research field are welcome!

AMA Research Challenge:

The American Medical Association is hosting a research symposium for all medical students to showcase their research  virtually and compete for a chance to win 10,000 dollars. Abstracts from all fields of research are allowed.  

 

Special Operations Medical Association (SOMA) Scientific Assembly:

The SOMA research committee is hosting a scientific assembly in which the medical community is encouraged to submit abstracts focused around the development and enhancement of medicine as a whole. 

 

Mayo Clinic – Individualizing Medicine Conference:

Mayo Clinic is hosting a National conference for precision medicine that encourages the entire medical community to join and learn about new and emerging topics.  Abstract submission is permitted for everyone.  

 
 

ALLERGY AND IMMUNOLOGY:

American Association of Immunologists:

AAI welcomes members and non members to submit an abstract related to immunology during their symposium held in Washington. There is a submission fee for members as well as members. 

 

Clinical Immunology Society:

CIS is hosting a Immune Deficiency and Dysregulation North American Conference in which they encourage everyone to submit abstracts as well as case reports. No patient photos are allowed to be presented in case reports. 

 
 

ANESTHESIOLOGY:

Missouri Society of Anesthesiologists:

MSA invites all residents and students to submit and present their abstract at the annual meeting held in Missouri. Membership is required to submit an abstract. 

 

Foundation for Anesthesia Education and Research:

FAER has a medical student anesthesia research fellowship summer program for medical students to engage in research related to anesthesiology. Students will be provided a stipend as well as a chance to present their research.  

 
 

DERMATOLOGY:

Brigham and Women’s Hospital Department of Dermatology:

BWH dermatology hosts an annual four hour virtual research symposium for students to showcase their research in the field of dermatology.

Inflammatory Skin Disease Summit:

Medical students are invited to submit an abstract pertaining to inflammatory skin disease.  To be considered for a travel grant, a CV must be uploaded during the abstract submission process.

 

DIAGNOSTIC RADIOLOGY:

Radiological Society of North America:

All abstracts associated with radiology are encouraged to be submitted.  

 

University of Arizona International Medical Student Radiology Symposium: 

An annual symposium for all medical students across the world to submit and present their posters. 

 
 

EMERGENCY MEDICINE:

American Academy of Emergency Medicine:

Abstract submission/competition for medical students interested in EM. There are strict criteria for eligibility amongst medical students. Winner of the abstract competition will be rewarded. 

 

Emergency Medicine Residents’ Association:

EMRA is hosting a case-con for medical students and residents to present cases related to emergency medicine. 

The Society of Clinical Research Associates:

SOCRA is hosting a research symposium in which poster submission encouraged. A reward will be provided to the participant with the best poster.  

 
 

FAMILY MEDICINE:

Family Medicine Midwest Foundation:

An annual conference with an opportunity for medical students in the Midwest to present their research project. 

 

North American Primary Care Research Group: 

An annual meeting hosted by the NAPCRG to provide an opportunity for students, residents and fellows to present research related to primary care. Event registration as well as a submission fee are required for this meeting.  

 
 

INTERNAL MEDICINE:

American College of Physicians National Abstract Competition: 

Medical students can present research pertaining to internal medicine in poster or oral presentation format.

 

Society of General Internal Medicine:

Students do not need to be part of the society to present.

 
 

INTERVENTIONAL RADIOLOGY:

Symposium of Academic Interventional Radiology:

Posters related to Interventional radiology.

 

Society of Interventional Radiology:

Abstracts can be original scientific research or an educational exhibit. Students need to be a member to register. 

 
 

NEUROLOGY:

American Academy of Neurology:

Submit abstracts for their annual meeting or national summer conference with research pertaining to neurology

  

Molecular Neuroscience:

Abstract submission pertaining to neuroscience and sensory disorders for the Miami winter symposium. (Note: there is a registration fee)

 

 
OBSTETRICS & GYNECOLOGY:

American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists:

Abstract submission for topics related to OB/GYN. Membership is required for submission. 

 

Global Conference on Gynecology and Women’s Health:

Submit an abstract pertaining to Gynecology and Women’s Health. Can present virtually or in-person.

 
 

OMM:

Student Osteopathic Medical Association:

For students at osteopathic medical schools to present their research in any topic in a 5 minute powerpoint presentation. A poster submission is also required if accepted.

For research highlighting osteopathic manipulative medicine. Accepted abstracts will be presented either virtually or in person at OMED and will be published in the Journal of Osteopathic Medicine (JOM).

The American College of Surgery provides an opportunity to medical students to submit abstracts during a 3 day program at the ACS clinical congress. Membership is required for submission. 

 
 

UROLOGY:

American Urological Association:

The entire medical community is encouraged to join the conference in Chicago. Abstract submissions for research pertaining to global surgery and humanitarian initiatives in the field of urology.
